RECIPES, REVIEWS AND ALL THINGS VEGAN
I enjoy cooking for my family which includes four very hungry adults, two of which are not vegan but plant based. I curreny live in Los Angeles, CA but my husband and I are planning to move by 2021. Hopefully I can sneak in all the vegan spots I have not had a chance to try yet.
Most of the meals I make are fairly easy without any ‘crazy’ ingredients. Life gets busy and I don’t have the time to get overly creative in the kitchen but I do make it a priority to cook every night.
A heads up, I am new to the blog world. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to me if you see something that could be changed.
LET’S KEEP IT SHORT, SIMPLE AND SWEET
My goal here is to provide you with some new inspiration in the kitchen.
When I hear ‘COOKING IS HARD’ ‘ a little bit of me dies inside because I don’t know what these people are trying to make. Being a world class chef is hard but cooking some basic foods should not be stressful. Most of my meals should be on the easier side to make. Once in awhile I will get creative and try something difficult but It’s rare.
Healthy? Vegan or not, you SHOULD care about your health. I’m not an expert, I’m not perfect but I do in fact care what I feed myself. Here’s the thing; you don’t need to go on a crazy diet. I eat snacks, sweets and fried foods but mostly in moderation. Many of my meals would probably be unacceptable by extreme fitness fanatics because I eat CARBS and I cook with OIL. Please, if you have health issues then yes, you probably should be eating healthier. The reason this makes me angry is because eating at home is often 10X’s healthier then the places you get take-out. I know not everyone needs to hear that but many need a reminder. Care about yourself. With that said, everything I make is an attempt at a balanced meal because let’s face it, I can’t live without tortillas and noodles but I also can’t live on a high sodium and junk food diet either.
Let’s get cooking!
